## Documentation

## What line-oa-mcp-ultimate does

The line-oa-mcp-ultimate MCP server exposes LINE Official Account operations to MCP-compatible AI hosts. It supports a single OA or multiple client accounts selected at runtime, making it suitable for both individual businesses and agencies managing several accounts.

Its messaging coverage includes replies, pushes, multicasts, narrowcasts, and broadcasts. Messages can contain text, Flex content, stickers, images, videos, native LINE coupons, or prebuilt message JSON. Sending can happen immediately, produce a draft for later scheduling in LINE OA Manager, or run as a dry run that validates the request and estimates cost.

The server also covers rich-menu lifecycle tasks, Flex and Card Message design, tappable Rich Messages, audience management, delivery and engagement reporting, and optional LINE Shopping operations such as products, stock, orders, parcel labels, settlements, and checkout links.

## How it works

An AI agent calls MCP tools based on a natural-language request. The server translates those calls into LINE Messaging API operations and returns structured results or ready-to-send message JSON. For example, a design tool can create Flex, Rich, or Card Message data, which can then be passed to the general message-sending tool.

Rich Message image handling can accept an attached picture, prepare and host the image, and check that it is deliverable before sending. Rich Menu Studio can generate menu artwork with Thai-ready layouts, provide a preview step, and pass the result to the rich-menu build workflow.

For multi-account setups, a configuration file can contain multiple OAs. Runtime tools select one account or run an operation across many accounts. Sending also includes quota-oriented validation, cost estimates in dry-run mode, and quiet-hour warnings for the documented 22:00–08:00 period.

## Setup and configuration

The project requires Node.js 20 or newer and is distributed as an npm package. It can run over stdio or as a Streamable HTTP service. HTTP deployments use the `MCP_HTTP_TOKEN` bearer token for authentication, allowing an AI host to connect through one URL.

A single account needs one account configuration value; agencies can define multiple OAs in one configuration and switch between them with the `line_use_oa` operation.

Because the server is browser-free, its rich-menu image generation uses JavaScript-based Satori and Resvg rather than downloading a headless Chromium browser.

## Tools and capabilities

The line-oa-mcp-ultimate MCP server groups its documented capabilities as follows:

- Send messages through reply, push, multicast, narrowcast, or broadcast transports.
- Create Flex, Rich, Card, sticker, image, video, coupon, and raw JSON messages.
- Build, inspect, assign, unlink, swap, and delete rich menus, including aliases.
- Generate rich-menu artwork and preview it before deployment.
- Create, update, list, and delete audiences from CSV data or broadcast engagement.
- Review OA status, weekly reports, broadcast engagement, send-cost estimates, and narrowcast delivery progress.
- Use 14 opt-in LINE Shopping tools for catalog, inventory, order, parcel, settlement, and checkout tasks.

## Limitations and notes

The project is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LY Corporation or LINE Corp. LINE is used descriptively. LINE Shopping tools are opt-in rather than part of the core messaging set. Draft mode does not schedule directly through the server; it prepares a draft for scheduling in LINE OA Manager.

The README names Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, ChatGPT desktop, OpenClaw, and Hermes as compatible MCP hosts. This listing includes the named clients that have corresponding standard slugs. The server's available operations and LINE API behavior remain subject to the account configuration and LINE platform capabilities.
