## Description
Light: Download + OCR, official-source lookup. Platform-hosted, pay per query with prepaid credit.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **contas_light_download_ocr_consultar** — Light: Download + OCR, consulta em fonte oficial. Hospedado pela plataforma, sem credenciais da plataforma, pague por consulta com crédito pré-pago. Consulta informação de fontes e órgãos oficiais brasileiros (a mesma disponível ao cidadão), não é dado sigiloso. O cliente é o controlador dos dados e responde pela finalidade legítima (LGPD).
- **show_version** — Show the current MCP platform and adapter versions.
- **report_bug** — Report a bug, missing feature, or send feedback. Include the conversation array with recent messages for reproduction.
- **connect** — Returns connection status and URLs. When all providers are connected, returns authenticated:true and empty pending[]. When credentials are missing, returns connect_url for the toolkit and per-install URLs.
- **toolkit_info** — Returns the current toolkit state: installed MCPs, their connection status, the accounts connected to each one, and how many catalog tools each exposes.
- **marketplace** — The official mcp.ai marketplace — the in-platform catalog of every MCP/tool, AND the way to run them. Covers capability requests like "find an MCP that does X", "consulta um CPF", "is there a tool for Y". Core flow: action=search discovers MCPs by intent → describe returns one MCP's full profile (every tool with its id + params, pricing, auth) so you pick the right tool_id → invoke RUNS that tool. KEY: invoke works even when the MCP is NOT installed — it runs the tool pontualmente (one-off), without adding the MCP to the toolkit and without bloating the tool list. If the MCP needs a credential/login, invoke returns a connect link; if it is paid and the wallet is empty, invoke returns a checkout/top-up link (the user opens it, then you retry). Use install only to make an MCP PERMANENT in the active toolkit (its tools then show up natively in future sessions); prefer invoke for a single/occasional use. list_tools lists what is callable right now. subscribe/cancel handle per-MCP billing; report_bug sends feedback; request_mcp asks us to build a NEW MCP when nothing fits. Search/describe flag installed_in_toolkit vs installed_in_workspace. Writes (install/uninstall/subscribe/cancel and the one-off install behind invoke) require workspace owner/admin. It also carries the mcp.ai PROMPT LIBRARY, which is about ready-made prompt TEXT rather than MCPs: search_prompts finds one, get_prompt returns its full text with {{variables}} filled, and publish_prompt saves a prompt and returns a shareable mcp.ai/p/<slug> link that opens without login.
- **authenticate** — MCP.AI for IDE agents (Cursor, etc.): log in in the browser, copy the access token. Best: add it to this server's config as a header `Authorization: Bearer <token>` for a permanent, non-expiring connection. Or paste it here for a session-only login: call with { token: "<jwt>" } after the user pastes, or with no args to get the link.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Remote MCP endpoint (confidence: high). Install path detected from listing signals. Add as a URL/SSE server in your client:

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "light-download-ocr": {
    "url": "https://api.mcp.ai/p_contas_light_download_ocr"
  }
}
```

## Documentation

## What Light: Download + OCR does

Light: Download + OCR exposes a hosted service for consulting an official source through the Model Context Protocol. The repository describes one available operation, `contas_light_download_ocr_consultar`, and marks the service as read-only. The tool name identifies a download-and-OCR workflow, while the published description characterizes its function as an official-source query.

Light: Download + OCR is intended for AI clients such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Cline, and Continue. It can also be connected to other clients that support MCP over HTTP. The hosted service is separate from the public repository: the repository contains the wrapper, manifests, documentation, and skills, while the MCP server itself runs at the platform endpoint.

## How it works

Clients connect to the remote MCP endpoint rather than running the server locally. The documented URL is:

`https://api.mcp.ai/p_contas_light_download_ocr`

After connection, an agent can invoke the single consultation tool. Results returned by tools are sent to the LLM host selected by the user, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or a self-managed agent. This makes the choice of client and its data-handling settings relevant when using the service.

The service is hosted by the platform and does not require platform credentials in the MCP configuration. User access uses a passwordless magic-link login. Billing is usage-based through a prepaid credit balance, so queries consume available credit rather than using an unrestricted free local process.

## Setup and configuration

Claude users can add the connector from Claude’s connector settings, either through the provided installation link or by entering the server name and HTTP URL manually. Cursor and VS Code have installation links in the repository. Other compatible clients should be configured with the same MCP over HTTP URL.

No environment variables are documented as required. Account login and prepaid credit management are handled by the hosting platform.

## Tools and capabilities

The server publishes one tool:

- `contas_light_download_ocr_consultar`: performs the Light: Download + OCR official-source consultation.

The available operation is read-only. The material does not list tools for writing to, updating, or deleting data in the source. The MCP endpoint can be used by any client that supports the HTTP transport described in the documentation.

## Limitations and notes

Light: Download + OCR is a hosted, proprietary server. The MIT license applies to the public repository materials, not to the hosted server itself. Use requires prepaid platform credit and a platform login through a magic link.

The service is limited to the one documented consultation tool, so the repository does not support claims about additional searches, mutations, or integrations. Returned data is passed to the selected LLM host, which the documentation identifies as a subprocess outside the platform’s control. The project recommends considering an LLM plan with training opt-out where that matters for the data being queried.

For client compatibility, the README explicitly names Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Cline, and Continue, and states that other MCP-over-HTTP clients can connect. Support for a particular client should therefore be checked against its HTTP transport support.
