## What Khanoumi MCP server does

Khanoumi MCP server gives an AI agent read-only access to product and store information from Khanoumi, an Iranian beauty retailer. Queries can be made in Persian or English, and prices are returned in Toman. The catalog tools cover cosmetics, skin care, hair care, perfume, categories, brands, promotions, and product guidance from the Khanoumi magazine.

Use `kh_search` to find products with price, discount, availability, matching categories, and brands. `kh_find_cheapest` narrows a keyword search to in-stock results and returns one list ordered by payable price. For more controlled discovery, `kh_browse` supports category, brand, or campaign listings with sorting, price ranges, and filters. Supporting tools expose category IDs, category paths, product counts, brand slugs, and available filter values.

Product-level tools provide details that matter when variants differ. `kh_product` reports prices and stock for individual shades, sizes, and sellers, along with ratings, attributes, and descriptions. `kh_reviews` returns customer comments, newest first, including verified-buyer indicators and photos. `kh_similar` finds alternatives or products Khanoumi pairs with the selected item.

## How it works

The Khanoumi MCP server runs on the user's machine and communicates with an AI client through MCP over stdio. It then makes HTTPS requests to public Khanoumi website endpoints, the site's FAQ content, and its blog. There is no hosted intermediary described in the README, and the server does not require an API key or account.

## Setup and configuration

Install `uv`, then add the server to a compatible MCP client with `uvx khanoumi-mcp`. Claude Code can use `claude mcp add khanoumi -- uvx khanoumi-mcp`. Claude Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code can be configured with a stdio server whose command is `uvx` and whose argument is `khanoumi-mcp`. Alternatively, install the package with pip and run `khanoumi-mcp`.

Python 3.10 or newer is required. No API key or account is needed. Set `KHANOUMI_MCP_PROXY` if requests to `khanoumi.com` must use an HTTP proxy.

## Limitations and notes

The Khanoumi MCP server is unofficial and read-only. It cannot log in, add items to a cart, place orders, access account data, or post reviews. It also cannot provide an exact address-based shipping quote when the website requires login. Prices, stock, discounts, delivery fees, and promotional codes can change, so results should be treated as current catalog information rather than a purchase guarantee. Sponsored search items are removed according to the README, and product images may be returned by search and product detail tools.
