## Description
MCP server for JivoSite API — chats, agents, visitors. 3 tools.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "jivosite-mcp": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","@theyahia/jivosite-mcp"],
    "env": {
      "JIVOSITE_TOKEN": ""
    }
  }
}
```

**Requires environment variables:** `JIVOSITE_TOKEN` — the values above are empty placeholders; fill in real credentials before running (see the repository for what each one is for).

## Documentation

## What jivosite-mcp MCP server does

The jivosite-mcp MCP server exposes JivoSite customer-support data and actions through the Model Context Protocol. It covers chat discovery, operator lists, contact lookup and creation, message retrieval, outbound chat messages, and webhook management.

These provide task-oriented ways to ask about live conversations and online or offline agents.

The repository advertises 10 tools, while the tools table names these 9 operations: `get_chats`, `get_agents`, `get_contacts`, `create_contact`, `get_messages`, `send_message`, `get_webhooks`, `create_webhook`, and `delete_webhook`.

## How it works

The package communicates with JivoSite through the API using a token supplied in the `JIVOSITE_TOKEN` environment variable. An MCP-compatible client starts the package with `npx`, then invokes its tools as needed.

In the default stdio mode, the client launches the process directly. The optional HTTP mode starts a server on a selected port, with the MCP endpoint at `/mcp` and a health check at `/health`. This gives developers a choice between local process-based configuration and an HTTP-accessible MCP endpoint.

## Setup and configuration

Create or obtain a JivoSite API token from the JivoSite control panel under Management and API. Store it as `JIVOSITE_TOKEN`; the README marks this variable as required.

For Claude Desktop, configure an MCP server that runs `npx -y @theyahia/jivosite-mcp` and passes the token in its environment. Claude Code can be configured with `claude mcp add`, while VS Code and Cursor use an equivalent server configuration with the same command and environment variable. Smithery installation is also documented through its CLI.

To use HTTP mode, run the package with `--http --port=3000`. The documented local URLs are `http://localhost:3000/mcp` for MCP requests and `http://localhost:3000/health` for health checks.

## Tools and capabilities

- List chats, optionally filtering by status with `get_chats`.
- List JivoSite agents with `get_agents`.
- Search contacts by name, email address, or phone number.
- Create contacts through `create_contact`.
- Read messages for a specified chat ID.
- Send a message to a chat.
- List, create, and delete webhooks.
- Ask for active chats through `skill_active_chats`.
- Check operator online and offline statistics through `skill_agent_stats`.

## Limitations and notes

The documented integration is specifically for JivoSite.

The repository is licensed under MIT. The README includes referral-program information for JivoSite, but that program is separate from the server’s technical functionality.
