## Description
Check an IP or your own network exit before using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Meta Muse.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **check_ip** — Judge an IPv4/IPv6 address: residential vs datacenter, purity score 0-100, risk-list hits, and whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Muse accept its region/type. Data: ipjudge.org.
- **my_exit** — Judge the public IP this agent/server is calling from (its own network exit) — use it to check whether Claude / ChatGPT will accept the machine the agent runs on.
- **ai_availability** — Whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Muse officially support a country (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, e.g. US, HK, CN), from each company's published list.
- **service_status** — Official live status (Statuspage) of Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, GitHub, Cloudflare and more, refreshed every 3 minutes.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
No confirmed install details yet, so no config is published. Follow the setup steps in the repository above.

## Documentation

## What IP Judge MCP server does

The IP Judge MCP server gives an AI agent access to network and service checks hosted by ipjudge.org. It can inspect an IPv4 or IPv6 address, identify whether it appears residential or datacenter-based, return a purity score from 0 to 100, report risk-list matches, and indicate whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Meta Muse accept the address's region or type.

The server also checks the public exit address used by the machine that sends the MCP request. This is useful when the agent runs on a VPS, terminal, desktop client, or another environment whose network route may differ from the user's browser. Country-level availability checks use ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes and compare them with the published support lists for the four AI services. A separate tool reads official live status data for Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, GitHub, Cloudflare, and other listed services.

## How it works

Connect an MCP client to `https://ipjudge.org/mcp` using Streamable HTTP. The endpoint is free and does not require an API key for normal use. `my_exit` evaluates the exit of the machine that actually sends the request. For local clients such as Claude Code or Cursor, that is generally the local computer; a web connector may instead expose the platform's server exit.

`check_ip` accepts a specific IPv4 or IPv6 address. `ai_availability` accepts a country code such as `US`, `HK`, or `CN`. `service_status` returns official status information refreshed every three minutes. Results describe observed network and public-service data; they do not establish whether a particular account, login, or API request will succeed.

## Setup and configuration

Add the remote endpoint to an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP. For Claude Code, the documented command is:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http ipjudge https://ipjudge.org/mcp
```

Cursor, Windsurf, and other clients with remote MCP support can use a server entry containing the same URL. No environment variables or local installation are required for the hosted endpoint. Without authentication, each visitor can make up to 40 new lookups in a 10-minute period. Higher usage requires an account API key sent as a Bearer token, using the `ipj_` key format described by ipjudge.org.

## Tools and capabilities

- `check_ip`: Evaluates an IPv4 or IPv6 address for network type, purity score, risk-list hits, and supported AI service regions or types.
- `my_exit`: Evaluates the public IP of the machine making the MCP request.
- `ai_availability`: Checks official country support for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Muse.
- `service_status`: Reads current official status for supported services, including Claude, OpenAI, Cursor, GitHub, and Cloudflare.

## Limitations and notes

The IP Judge MCP server relies on data from ipjudge.org and public status or support information. IP classifications and service availability are assessments, not guarantees of account access or successful API calls. The `my_exit` result is about the request origin, so it may differ from the network used by a browser or by a hosted connector.

Unauthenticated usage is rate-limited. API consumers should follow the provider's request limits, credit data from ipjudge.org, and avoid bulk scanning. The repository publishes the MCP service description and local diagnostic scripts, but the hosted MCP endpoint is the connection described here. Its scripts and checks are read-only according to the supplied documentation.
