## Description
Analyze multiple URLs with categorized SEO / GEO checks and scored results.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **list_analyzers** — List all available SEO analyzers with their keys, categories, and weights. Call this first to discover what analyzers and categories are available before running an analysis.
- **scan_domain** — Crawl a domain and return all SEO-relevant page URLs. Use this to discover pages before running analysis.
- **analyze** — Analyze one or more URLs for SEO issues. Processes URLs sequentially and reports progress after each. Supports full analysis, a single analyzer, or a category of analyzers. Full mode also returns a GEO/AEO score measuring AI search visibility (citation likelihood, RAG readiness, and sub-metrics for technical access, content structure, entity clarity, and authority signals).

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "geo-seo-analyzer-octoboost": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","octoboost-mcp-server"],
    "env": {
      "OCTOBOOST_API_KEY": ""
    }
  }
}
```

**Requires environment variables:** `OCTOBOOST_API_KEY` — the values above are empty placeholders; fill in real credentials before running (see the repository for what each one is for).

## Documentation

## What geo-seo-analyzer-octoboost MCP server does

The geo-seo-analyzer-octoboost MCP server exposes three OctoBoost API operations through MCP: analyzer discovery, domain crawling, and URL auditing. It is intended for MCP-enabled assistants, developer tools, and automated workflows that need structured website signals during an agent task.

`list_analyzers` reports the available analyzer keys, their categories, and their current weights. The documented categories include SEO, accessibility, user experience, performance, and GEO. `scan_domain` finds SEO-relevant URLs, while `analyze` runs the complete audit against each supplied URL.

Audit results provide an overall SEO score, category-level scores, individual findings, and a GEO/AEO score related to AI-search visibility. GEO output includes fields such as technical access, content structure, entity clarity, authority signals, citation likelihood, RAG readiness, and an LLM assessment.

## How it works

The typical workflow starts with `list_analyzers`, allowing an agent to understand which checks are available and how they contribute to scoring. An agent can then call `scan_domain` with a domain or URL to collect pages for review. Finally, it passes the resulting URL list to `analyze`.

Domain scans support a page limit, URL exclusion patterns, robots.txt handling, and filtering of alternate-language duplicates. Full audits process URLs sequentially and send a progress notification after each completed URL. Each analyzed URL costs 3 credits.

The API also supplies real-user Core Web Vitals data from the Chrome UX Report when available. Reported metrics include LCP, CLS, INP, FCP, and TTFB at the 75th percentile. Missing CrUX data includes a reason and does not change the overall SEO score.

## Setup and configuration

The geo-seo-analyzer-octoboost MCP server requires an OctoBoost API key, available from octo-boost.com. Install it as a stdio MCP server with `npx` and provide the key through the `OCTOBOOST_API_KEY` environment variable.

A client configuration uses the package command `npx -y octoboost-mcp-server`. The README identifies Claude Desktop and Cursor configuration paths or settings, and also documents an OpenClaw configuration location. Calling `list_analyzers` is a practical connection check after setup.

Analyzer weighting is managed in the OctoBoost dashboard. Each analyzer can receive a weight from 0 to 5; zero excludes it from the aggregate score while still running the check. The active weights are returned by `list_analyzers` and apply to future API calls using that key.

## Tools and capabilities

- `list_analyzers`: returns analyzer keys, categories, and configured weights without inputs.
- `scan_domain`: crawls a domain or URL and accepts `maxPages`, `excludePatterns`, `respectRobotsTxt`, and `defaultLanguageOnly` options.
- `analyze`: audits one or more URLs with all 30+ analyzers and returns SEO and GEO/AEO results.

Responses are designed as compact, structured data rather than raw page content, which lets an agent reason over scores and findings without first parsing complete HTML. Invalid or expired credentials produce a 401 error, while exhausted credits produce a 402 error.
