## Description
GDEX (gdex.pro) trading for AI agents: spot, perps and HyperLiquid on Solana, EVM and more chains

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

## Documentation

## What GDEX Trading MCP server does

The GDEX Trading MCP server exposes GDEX Pro capabilities to MCP-compatible AI agents. Its 117 tools cover both trading execution and SDK documentation, so an agent can work with supported market, wallet, portfolio, and platform operations without implementing the GDEX API surface itself.

Supported areas include cross-chain spot trades, HyperLiquid perpetual futures, limit orders, copy trading, portfolio balances and history, token information, top-trader data, bridging, wallet information, and wallet generation. The repository also documents additional GDEX features such as transfers, HyperLiquid funding, outcome markets, referrals, token imports, and several platform-specific discovery and UI skills.

The platform is described as a self-custody trading terminal with managed-custody support. Trading coverage spans Solana, EVM networks, and other supported chains, while some operations have narrower scope. For example, copy-trading writes are identified as Solana-only, and token discovery does not require authentication.

## How it works

The server is implemented in the repository's `mcp-server/` directory. Its TypeScript entry point is `mcp-server/src/index.ts`, and tool handlers are stored under `mcp-server/src/tools/`. The published `@gemachdao/gdex-mcp-server` package is built from that directory.

An MCP client invokes individual tools through the server rather than calling exchange endpoints directly. The available tool set combines read operations, such as token and portfolio queries, with actions that can place trades, manage orders, configure copy trading, or bridge assets. Agents can also access SDK documentation through the exposed tools.

GDEX Trading MCP server is intended for agents that can connect to a standard MCP server. The README names Claude, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, Claude Code, VS Code, and Gemini CLI among the supported installation paths, while also describing compatibility with more than 40 other agents through the skills ecosystem.

## Setup and configuration

The npm package provides an initialization command that generates client configuration. Examples in the repository target Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, and OpenCode; the generated files use each client's corresponding MCP configuration format. The package can also be run from the repository source, and the project includes a Dockerfile for container-based execution.

Claude Code users can install the GDEX marketplace plugin, which installs the GDEX skills and the MCP server through `npx -y @gemachdao/gdex-mcp-server`. Gemini CLI users can install the repository as an extension. The README states that an optional GDEX API key is stored in the system credential store for the plugin flow, while the trading skills use built-in shared keys and require no API-key setup.

## Tools and capabilities

The documented tool groups cover:

- Spot buys and sells with DEX routing across supported chains
- HyperLiquid perpetual positions, orders, leverage, and funding transfers
- Limit-order creation, cancellation, and listing
- Copy-trading setup, deletion, leaderboards, transaction history, and DEX information
- Cross-chain portfolio balances, trade history, token details, trending tokens, and OHLCV data
- Cross-chain bridge quotes and wallet or transfer operations
- Wallet generation and wallet information queries
- HyperLiquid outcome markets, referral information, and reward claims

The repository also includes separate skills for token risk, HyperLiquid market risk, anomaly detection, GVault data, UI components, and SDK troubleshooting. Those skills are part of the broader repository and should not be assumed to be MCP tools unless exposed through the MCP server's tool list.

## Limitations and notes

Capabilities vary by operation and chain. The README specifically limits copy-trading writes to Solana, and the listed market and wallet features should be checked against the supported-chain behavior before use. Executing trades or transfers can affect real assets, so an agent should apply its own confirmation and risk controls.

The MCP server is distinct from the repository's multi-skill installation. Installing the skills can add instructional workflows, risk-data scripts, UI guidance, or other material that is not necessarily part of the 117 MCP tools. The repository advertises 103 passing tests, but that figure does not guarantee the availability or behavior of every external market, chain, or trading action at runtime.
