## Description
Create contact forms, get HTML/React/Next.js snippets and read recent submissions on Formgong.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **list_forms** — Lists your forms: id, name, public access key (`fk_…`) and submissions this month.
- **create_form** — Creates a form (`name`, `notify_email`). Submissions are emailed to your account address. It returns the form id, the access key and dashboard links for connecting Telegram and extra recipients. Limit: 10 new forms per hour.
- **get_form_snippet** — Returns code for one form (`form_id`, `framework`: `html` / `react` / `next`, `lang`), with its access key, the `_lang` field, the `botcheck` honeypot, and Turnstile when it's enabled.
- **list_recent_submissions** — Read-only and opt-in. Returns up to 50 recent submissions with time and submitted fields only (no IP or user agent). Spam is excluded by default. Field values are marked as untrusted visitor input.
- **list_webhooks** — Lists a form's webhooks (`form_id`): id, URL and creation time, never the signing secret.
- **create_webhook** — Adds a public `https` webhook to a form, so n8n, Make or Zapier can register their trigger URL. Returns the form's signing secret. Plan limit per form.
- **delete_webhook** — Removes one webhook from a form you own.
- **list_website_templates** — Lists free, MIT-licensed website templates (complete sites with the contact form already wired to Formgong): niche, live demo, source, HTML download and a start command. Optional `topic`. Start a new site from one instead of generating every page.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

  "formgong": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","formgong"]
  }
}

## Documentation

## What Formgong MCP server does

Formgong MCP server gives an AI assistant access to a hosted contact-form backend. It supports form creation, form discovery, framework-specific embed code, optional submission reading, webhook management, and website-template discovery. The service handles form submissions separately from the site where the form is embedded.

A created form includes an identifier and a public access key. The returned dashboard links can be used to connect Telegram or configure additional recipients. Submissions are emailed to the account address, and the service can also expose webhook connections for automation platforms.

## How it works

The endpoint is `https://formgong.com/mcp` and uses stateless Streamable HTTP with JSON responses. Clients can authenticate through OAuth 2.1 with authorization-code flow and PKCE, or send a personal API token in a Bearer header. OAuth access uses the `forms:read`, `forms:write`, and optional `submissions:read` scopes. Reading submissions is disabled unless that permission is requested.

Unauthenticated clients can still call `initialize`, `ping`, and `tools/list`, allowing them to discover the server before sign-in. OAuth tokens last one hour and use refresh tokens for rotation. A client that cannot perform OAuth can use a token beginning with `fgp_`.

## Setup and configuration

There is no local server installation. Create a Formgong account, confirm the email address, and create a personal API token only when the client cannot use OAuth. The token is shown once and can be revoked from the account dashboard.

For OAuth-capable clients, add the remote URL as an MCP connector and complete the browser sign-in. Cursor, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and VS Code examples are provided in the project documentation. Windsurf can send a token through a configured environment variable. Clients limited to static headers can use the `mcp-remote` bridge where supported.

## Tools and capabilities

Formgong MCP server exposes these tools:

- `list_forms` returns form IDs, names, public `fk_` access keys, and the current monthly submission count.
- `create_form` creates a named form with a notification email. It is limited to 10 new forms per hour.
- `get_form_snippet` produces HTML, React, or Next.js code in a selected language, including the access key, language field, honeypot, and enabled Turnstile configuration.
- `list_recent_submissions` returns up to 50 recent, non-spam entries with timestamps and submitted fields. It does not return IP addresses or user agents, and the values must be treated as untrusted visitor input.
- `list_webhooks`, `create_webhook`, and `delete_webhook` manage a form’s public HTTPS webhook endpoints. Creating one returns its signing secret; listing never exposes that secret.
- `list_website_templates` finds free MIT-licensed complete sites whose contact forms are already connected to Formgong. Results can be filtered by topic and include a start command.

## Limitations and notes

Creating webhooks is subject to the account’s per-form plan limit. Recent submissions are read-only, excluded by default unless the submissions scope is granted, and limited to 50 results. The service excludes spam from that listing.

The form backend provides Telegram delivery, email delivery, signed webhooks, honeypot checks, cookie-free checks, and optional Cloudflare Turnstile according to the service documentation. Data is stored in the EU, while IP addresses are retained only as hashes. Free-plan usage includes 300 submissions per month and may add Formgong branding to hosted thank-you pages and emails.
