## What Ficiel MCP server does

Ficiel MCP server gives compatible assistants access to conversations from Instagram, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn. It is intended for coaches and setters who need to review older conversations, find contacts to re-engage, and prepare follow-up messages. The hosted service can retrieve complete message histories, search for contacts, inspect whether the latest message has been read, and surface prospects who have gone quiet.

The service also handles conversation-related media in a structured way. Images include their description and visible text, documents include extracted text, and videos include duration and transcripts. The `ficiel_get_media` tool can return an image or document itself. Long responses are paginated with a `next_cursor`, and messages, voice notes, notes, and Kord instructions are not silently truncated.

## How it works

The endpoint is `https://bridge.ficiel.io/mcp` and uses Streamable HTTP. MCP clients connect to this hosted service rather than running a server from the repository; the repository contains documentation, not the service implementation.

Ficiel provides 73 tools as of October 14, 2026. Seventeen tools display interactive MCP Apps screens, including a view of contacts who have not replied, a prospect profile, and a monthly summary. A prepared follow-up can open in the same screen, but sending it still requires a user click. The project also documents 12 ready-to-use prompts exposed through an assistant’s prompt menu.

The access model separates reading from actions. Claude connects through OAuth and lets the user choose read-only or read-and-send permissions. Claude Code and other clients can use an Ficiel API key in an authorization header. Each key belongs to one organization and cannot access another organization’s data.

## Setup and configuration

First connect the relevant social channels in the Ficiel application at `https://app.ficiel.io`. In Claude, add a custom connector with the MCP endpoint, then authenticate on Ficiel and select the permitted access level. No key needs to be copied for this OAuth flow.

For Claude Code, create a key in Ficiel settings and configure the HTTP server with an authorization bearer header. Cursor and other MCP clients use the same endpoint and header pattern. Keys begin with `fk_live_`.

Access is available to organizations in a trial or with an active subscription. The available operations depend on the plan: Essential covers everyday reading, searching, preparing, sending, and scheduling of follow-ups, contact organization, and Kord settings; Integral adds automation settings, channel-specific AI, and offer-amount configuration.

## Tools and capabilities

The Ficiel MCP server supports tasks such as:

- Listing conversations where a sent message was seen but unanswered for a period of time.
- Reading a full exchange and identifying possible reasons for hesitation.
- Preparing follow-ups for selected prospects for later human approval.
- Finding contacts and managing tags, stages, and notes individually or in batches.
- Reading or adjusting Kord qualification criteria.
- Displaying interactive prospect, follow-up, and monthly-summary screens.
- Reading message text, voice-note information, notes, instructions, and supported media details.

Sending is constrained by human-review rules. A named recipient must be identified and matched to the real contact, and the assistant cannot send to an unknown person. Voice messages are not generated; a sent voice message is one of the user’s recorded voice messages.

## Limitations and notes

Ficiel MCP server is a hosted service, so this repository does not provide local server code. An inactive, paused, unpaid, or expired account causes tools to refuse access and provide a reactivation link. Plan restrictions can also make individual tools unavailable.

The documented ChatGPT setup uses its remote MCP developer mode and OAuth, but Ficiel says that path has not been tested end to end by the project. The verified clients are Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor. The documentation is licensed CC BY 4.0; that license does not cover the hosted Ficiel service or its code.
