## What Corebee — AI Customer Support does

Corebee — AI Customer Support MCP server gives an MCP client access to operational data and actions in a Corebee workspace. The hosted endpoint covers five areas: support conversations, customer contacts, knowledge-base content, metrics, and settings.

Conversation tools can list and inspect threads, send replies, assign conversations, and close them. Contact tools support searching, creation, updates, deletion, and notes. Knowledge-base tools handle URL sources, content search, and indexing status. Metrics tools provide dashboard KPIs, agent performance, channel analytics, trends, and reports. Settings tools cover widget customization, team members, and organization settings.

The repository adds Claude Code workflows around these tools. Ten skills cover tasks such as inbox triage, contact onboarding, knowledge-base maintenance, customer profiles, escalation handling, workload analysis, and period comparisons. Four specialized agents focus on analytics, conversation work, knowledge-base gaps, and SLA monitoring. Four slash commands provide shortcuts for signup, triage, reporting, and knowledge-base status checks.

## How it works

The MCP service is hosted at `https://corebee.ai/api/v1/mcp/stream` and uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 discovery. A client connects to that URL and authorizes access to a Corebee workspace. The Claude Code plugin can install the hosted MCP server together with its skills, agents, commands, hooks, and settings; the MCP server can also be added without the plugin.

A new Corebee account can be provisioned from the agent flow. The signup skill requests one email approval, then returns a scoped API key, organization, workspace, and widget snippet. After setup, the key drives the tools used by the plugin.

## Setup and configuration

For Claude Code, install the marketplace plugin with `/plugin marketplace add jonny-1812/corebee-mcp-skills`, then run `/plugin install corebee@corebee`. Approve the Corebee OAuth login after running `/mcp`.

To connect only the MCP service, add the HTTP endpoint with `claude mcp add --transport http corebee https://corebee.ai/api/v1/mcp/stream`. Claude.ai can add the same URL as a remote MCP connector under Settings, Integrations, and Add Integration.

Shared workflow defaults are stored in `settings.json`. Supported settings include the reporting period, SLA threshold, automatic assignment behavior, report format, UUID visibility, and timezone. Automatic assignment is disabled by default, and the default SLA threshold is four hours.

## Tools and capabilities

The plugin organizes support operations into guided workflows:

- Triage open conversations and suggest or perform assignments.
- Generate weekly reports and compare metrics across periods.
- Import and update contacts with duplicate detection and notes.
- Add knowledge sources, search content, and inspect indexing health.
- Configure widget colors, bot name, position, welcome message, and pre-chat fields.
- Detect urgent conversations, draft responses, monitor workload, and review SLA risk.

Corebee — AI Customer Support also includes hooks that validate reply length, warn before destructive actions, remind users about resolution notes, confirm assignments, and log delegated-agent starts. These guardrails belong to the repository’s Claude Code plugin rather than the hosted MCP endpoint itself.
