## Description
Organize Claude Code memories, skills, MCP servers, and hooks via drag-and-drop dashboard.

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "claude-code-organizer": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","@mcpware/cross-code-organizer"]
  }
}
## Documentation
## What claude-code-organizer MCP server does
The claude-code-organizer MCP server is the former name of Cross-Code Organizer, a local control panel for AI coding harness configuration. It focuses on making hidden files and layered settings visible rather than requiring manual inspection of directories such as `~/.claude/` and project-level configuration locations.
Claude Code views include memories, skills, agents, hooks, slash commands, plans, rules, sessions, MCP servers, and context budget information. The dashboard can also inspect Codex CLI configuration and, in the current project, OpenCode and DeepSeek Harness inventories. Each harness has its own adapter, so the application does not assume that precedence or mutation behavior is identical across tools.
## How it works
CCO scans selected local configuration files and builds inventory and effective-state views. For Claude Code, the Show Effective view helps identify what a project actually loads. Other views expose sources such as project instructions, nested memory artifacts, custom agents, skill settings, and MCP configuration according to the relevant harness rules.
The workflow is organized around scanning, finding, and fixing. A context view identifies files and schemas contributing to token usage, while the security scanner reviews MCP-related content for suspicious or poisoned instructions. Selecting a finding can take the user to the associated MCP server entry for inspection or removal. The project also includes an activation-probe scanner as a research preview for MCP, skill, plugin, hook, and tool-description poisoning.
## Setup and configuration
Run the current package with Node.js 20 or later:
```text
npx @mcpware/cross-code-organizer
```
The command starts the local application and reports its URL. On first use, it automatically installs a `/cco` skill for Claude Code. Codex users can run the same command and select a harness from the sidebar. The claude-code-organizer MCP server reads local Claude, Codex, and project configuration; it does not require configuration or content uploads for its core operation.
Anonymous metrics are optional. If enabled, detailed event totals remain under `~/.cco/`, while the submitted monthly signal contains an anonymous rotating ID, month, application version, and harness ID. Paths, names, prompts, file contents, sessions, and credentials are not sent according to the project’s privacy description.
## Tools and capabilities
- Inspect Claude Code memories, skills, agents, hooks, commands, sessions, rules, plans, and MCP servers.
- Display effective per-project configuration and context-budget contributors.
- Edit Markdown skills, memories, agents, commands, and instructions in the detail panel.
- Move supported items, remove duplicate memories, and perform reversible exact-duplicate repair.
- Scan MCP configurations and navigate from findings to the relevant server entry.
- Copy skills across supported harnesses without modifying the source item.
- Review Codex CLI, OpenCode, and DeepSeek Harness inventories through their adapters.
## Limitations and notes
The claude-code-organizer MCP server is a local organizer, not a general-purpose cloud configuration service. Its coverage and mutation behavior depend on the adapter for each harness; the project explicitly avoids treating all harnesses as having the same precedence rules. The activation scanner is marked as a research preview.
The application reads selected files on the local machine, so its findings reflect the configuration available in those locations. Anonymous telemetry is opt-in rather than enabled by default. The project is licensed under MIT, and the current repository name and package are Cross-Code Organizer rather than Claude Code Organizer.
