## Documentation

## What Cinevva Game Creator MCP server does

Cinevva Game Creator MCP server gives compatible AI clients access to a Cinevva game project's authoritative files and, when a live session is shared, its browser runtime. Agents can inspect source files, search and change code, remove or rename files, and check whether the game is ready. They can also preview a game in supported chat hosts through a playable widget.

The server supports plain web games built with Three.js or a 2D canvas. Asset workflows include searching Cinevva's CC0 library, browsing asset packs, importing assets, and finding fonts. For 3D projects, agents can rig models, apply animations, list available animations, and check asynchronous task status. Runtime inspection includes console logs, screenshots, JavaScript execution, simulated input, and live-session listing.

## How it works

The remote endpoint is `https://api.cinevva.com/create/mcp`. It uses Streamable HTTP rather than a local process, with OAuth 2.0 and dynamic client registration.

File operations target the server-side copy of the game, so they can work without an open browser tab. If the game is open at Cinevva's creator, the tab receives file changes automatically. Runtime tools require an open game and the **External agent** option enabled in the creator toolbar. This shares the browser session for screenshots, console access, input simulation, asset import, and related runtime actions.

## Setup and configuration

Add the remote URL in the MCP client's connector or server settings, then complete the Cinevva login flow. Claude users can add it as a custom connector in Claude or Claude Desktop. Claude Code can register it with the HTTP transport command. Cursor provides an installation link and also accepts a `~/.cursor/mcp.json` entry. Cline uses a `streamableHttp` configuration, while Gemini CLI uses an `httpUrl` entry.

No environment variables are required by the documented setup. The Cinevva Game Creator MCP server is configured with its hosted URL, and authentication is handled interactively through OAuth. A setup guide with screenshots and troubleshooting is available from Cinevva.

## Tools and capabilities

The available tools are grouped by task:

- **Read:** list game files, read files, search source, inspect console logs, and capture screenshots.
- **Edit:** edit, write, delete, and rename game files.
- **Preview:** check readiness and show the game as an in-chat playable widget where supported.
- **Assets:** search assets, list asset packs, import assets, and search fonts.
- **3D rigging:** rig models, apply animations, list animations, and retrieve task status.
- **Testing:** execute JavaScript, simulate input, and list live sessions.
- **Docs:** list, search, and read Cinevva library documentation.

3D rigging uses credits from the user's Cinevva balance.

## Limitations and notes

The service is hosted remotely, so it depends on the Cinevva endpoint and an authenticated client connection. Runtime operations are distinct from file operations: they need a live game session shared through the creator toolbar, while file tools can operate without a browser tab. The `show_game` preview is available only on hosts that support the playable in-chat widget. Games are served from `<gameId>.cinevva.games`, and 3D rigging consumes account credits.
