## What Calligraphy Maker by Studio99 does

Calligraphy Maker by Studio99 converts exact Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and English text into calligraphy artwork through a hosted Model Context Protocol endpoint. It is suited to short words, names, phrases, wedding titles, festival greetings, and logo words. Rendering uses real calligraphy fonts, so the output preserves the conjuncts and matras in the supplied text.

The result can include PNG previews and editable SVG artwork. A generated result can also be sent to the Prishora editor on studio99.app as an editable Studio99 project.

## How it works

The service is available at `https://mcp.studio99.app/api/mcp` over Streamable HTTP. An MCP client connects to that URL, then exposes the available tools to an AI assistant. Users can request styles or ask for artwork in plain language, such as Hindi calligraphy for `शुभ विवाह` or Gujarati calligraphy for `શુભ લગ્ન`.

`list_styles` provides style choices filtered by language, mood, or use case. `generate_calligraphy` renders the requested text and returns the available preview and vector output. `create_studio99_project` takes a result into the Prishora editor when further editing is needed.

Authentication uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration. The client opens the Studio99 sign-in page, and a free account is created during sign-in if the user does not already have one.

## Setup and configuration

Calligraphy Maker by Studio99 is hosted by Studio99, so there is no local package or server process to install. Configure the remote MCP URL in an MCP-compatible client.

Supported setup examples in the documentation include:

- VS Code through `.vscode/mcp.json` or the user MCP configuration
- Claude through custom connectors, and Claude Code with `claude mcp add --transport http`
