## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **search_tenders** — Search open notices by keyword, ISO-3 country, CPV code, relevance score, deadline window and contract value. Optional AI summary per hit.
- **get_tender** — One notice in full, by id.
- **summarize_tender** — Labelled AI short form of a notice, `de` or `en`. Cached summaries are served anonymously; generating a new one needs a key.
- **source_status** — Freshness per connected procurement portal — last successful poll, counts, last error.
- **countries** — Indexed countries (ISO-3) with the number of open procedures.
- **fulltext_search** — Full text across indexed notices. Needs a paid key; anonymous callers get an error.

## What Ausschreibungsagenten Tender Search does

The Ausschreibungsagenten Tender Search MCP server exposes a read-only index of public procurement notices to MCP-compatible AI clients. Its coverage spans 17 connected sources in Germany, the European Union and the United Kingdom, including TED, German federal and regional portals, GB Find a Tender and Contracts Finder. Coverage is not guaranteed to be complete, so results should be checked against the linked authoritative notice.

The service fits workflows such as finding construction opportunities in a country, locating IT notices before a deadline, reviewing an individual procedure, or checking whether connected procurement portals are current. It does not submit bids, calculate bid prices, write bid documents, or provide procurement-law advice.

## How it works

Connect an MCP client to the Streamable HTTP endpoint at `https://api.ausschreibungsagenten.de/mcp`. The English-branded endpoint is available at `https://api.tender-agents.com/mcp`. After connection, an agent can call search and lookup tools against the indexed notices.

`search_tenders` accepts keyword, ISO-3 country, CPV, relevance, deadline-window and contract-value criteria. CPV searches support exact eight-digit codes and shorter numeric prefixes, so a prefix such as `45` covers the construction division. `get_tender` retrieves one notice by ID. `summarize_tender` returns a labelled German or English short form, and `source_status` reports each portal's last successful poll, counts and most recent error.

The `countries` tool reports indexed countries and their open-procedure counts. `fulltext_search` searches across notice text but requires a paid or otherwise authorized key. Every result links to the original notice, which remains the source of record.

## Setup and configuration

No credentials are needed for the initial connection. For clients that accept an `mcpServers` configuration, use a Streamable HTTP entry such as:

Claude Code can add the endpoint with its HTTP transport command. Anonymous `search_tenders` access is limited to 60 requests per hour. An API key is sent as an HTTP Bearer token for higher limits and paid features; an `X-API-Key` header is not accepted as authentication.

The Ausschreibungsagenten Tender Search MCP server also has an open-data endpoint at `https://api.ausschreibungsagenten.de/mcp/open-data`. That surface is anonymous and read-only, but narrows data to five sources with supported operator interfaces. It does not expose full-text search, and summaries are only served when a cached version already exists.

The linked original notice takes precedence over indexed content or generated summaries.
