## Description
Base token safety checks (honeypot test, liquidity, new launches), paid per call in USDC via x402.

## Tools
Capabilities this server exposes over MCP:

- **atlas_token_check** — Is this Base token safe to buy? Honeypot test (simulated buy, transfer, sell) with measured taxes, DEX liquidity in USD, owner/supply split, proxy, mint/pause/blacklist functions
- **atlas_new_tokens** — New token launches on Base (Uniswap v2/v3, Aerodrome), each already checked: filter by time, sellable only, minimum liquidity
- **atlas_balance** — Balance of any ERC-20 token for a wallet on Base
- **atlas_verify_address** — Contract or wallet, ETH and USDC balance of a Base address
- **atlas_summarize** — Extractive summary of a text
- **atlas_keywords** — Top keywords and phrases
- **atlas_stats** — Readability and length statistics
- **atlas_similarity** — Similarity of two texts

## Claude Desktop Quick Installation
Install path detected from listing signals. Uses `npx` (confidence: high):

```json
"mcpServers": {
  "atlas-mcp": {
    "command": "npx",
    "args": ["-y","github:atlas26onchain/atlas-mcp"],
    "env": {
      "ATLAS_WALLET_KEY": "",
      "ATLAS_URL": "",
      "ATLAS_MAX_PER_CALL": ""
    }
  }
}
```

**Requires environment variables:** `ATLAS_WALLET_KEY`, `ATLAS_URL`, `ATLAS_MAX_PER_CALL` — the values above are empty placeholders; fill in real credentials before running (see the repository for what each one is for).

## Documentation

## What atlas-mcp MCP server does

The atlas-mcp MCP server exposes Base-focused blockchain checks and a small set of text-processing tools to MCP-compatible AI clients. Its token analysis is intended for evaluating whether a Base token can be bought and sold, while its launch discovery tool finds recently deployed tokens that have already been checked.

The blockchain tools cover token contracts, wallets, and balances on Base. Text tools handle extractive summarization, keyword extraction, readability and length statistics, and similarity comparisons. The project is listed in the 💰 Finance & Fintech category because its main use case is inspecting token and address data before an on-chain decision.

## How it works

The client starts the package with `npx`, then calls the exposed MCP tools. Each request is paid automatically through the x402 protocol in USDC. Payment comes from the wallet supplied in the client configuration, so there is no account, API key, or subscription described in the setup.

`atlas_token_check` simulates a buy, transfer, and sell to test a Base token. Its response can include measured taxes, DEX liquidity in USD, the owner and supply split, proxy status, and whether mint, pause, or blacklist functions are present. `atlas_new_tokens` covers launches on Uniswap v2, Uniswap v3, and Aerodrome, with filters for launch time, sellability, and minimum liquidity.

The results are described as deterministic on-chain facts rather than financial advice. The connector does not receive the operator's Atlas keys; it signs payments using the wallet provided by the user.

## Setup and configuration

Node.js 20 or newer is required. Add the package to an MCP client's configuration using an `npx` command pointing at the GitHub repository. The required `ATLAS_WALLET_KEY` value is the private key or secret key for the wallet that pays for calls.

An EVM key pays USDC on Base. A Solana base58 secret key pays USDC on Solana. The README recommends using a dedicated wallet with only a small balance; it states that 1–2 USDC is generally enough. `ATLAS_URL` can override the default public Atlas URL, and `ATLAS_MAX_PER_CALL` sets a per-call spending limit, defaulting to $0.05. The cap blocks charges above the configured amount.

## Tools and capabilities

The atlas-mcp MCP server provides these tools:

- `atlas_token_check`: Tests Base token trading behavior and reports contract and liquidity indicators.
- `atlas_new_tokens`: Finds recently launched Base tokens and filters by time, sellability, and liquidity.
- `atlas_balance`: Reads an ERC-20 balance for a Base wallet.
- `atlas_verify_address`: Identifies whether a Base address is a contract or wallet and reports ETH and USDC balances.
- `atlas_summarize`: Produces an extractive text summary.
- `atlas_keywords`: Extracts prominent keywords and phrases.
- `atlas_stats`: Reports readability and text-length statistics.
- `atlas_similarity`: Compares two pieces of text for similarity.

The listed prices are $0.03 USDC for token checks, $0.02 for new-token discovery, and $0.01 for each remaining tool.

## Limitations and notes

The blockchain coverage described here is for Base, while payment can use an EVM wallet on Base or a Solana secret key on Solana. The token checks report observed contract and trading characteristics; they do not constitute investment advice or guarantee that a token is safe. Calls spend funds from the configured wallet, so its private key should be protected and the wallet should not be a primary account.
