## What aigroup-mdtoword-mcp does

The aigroup-mdtoword-mcp MCP server provides two document-oriented tools. `markdown_to_docx` accepts Markdown text or a Markdown file and creates a `.docx` output. `table_data_to_markdown` accepts CSV or JSON tabular data and returns a formatted Markdown table.

The conversion path supports common Markdown structures, including headings, paragraphs, lists, code blocks, blockquotes, and tables. Documents can also include inline or block mathematical formulas, local or remote images, and Mermaid diagrams. Mermaid content can be rendered, with a code-block fallback when rendering is not available.

Document presentation can be controlled through style configuration. Supported layout options include fonts, colors, page settings, heading and paragraph styles, table formatting, image sizing and placement, and code-block appearance. The server also supports headers, footers, page numbers, and watermarks.

## How it works

The aigroup-mdtoword-mcp MCP server is started as a local Node.js process and communicates with an MCP-compatible client. A client can invoke `markdown_to_docx` with Markdown content or an `inputPath`, along with values such as `filename`, `outputPath`, and `styleConfig`. The table tool accepts `data`, a format identifier, a style, and a `hasHeader` option.

## Setup and configuration
